Freaks of Nature

I was surfing the web earlier today and came across some photos that actually bothered me a bit. I’m not afraid of insects or rodents, but I do get disgusted because of how dirty they are. For those of you who are afraid of rats, snakes, spiders and roaches, it wouldn’t be wise for you to continue reading this article.

Meet the 14.85m python found in Indonesia. It weighs 447kg and would need 8-10 strong men to get a hold of it! It can swallow a whole human in a sitch. Still haven’t had enough? Let’s go the next creature, shall we..

I know a friend of mine who’s arachnophobic and as a crazy joke, my fingers are itching to send this photo to him. But the poor guy wouldn’t be able to get any sleep at all if I did that, so nevermind. This is the Goliath bird-eater tarantula of South America and it is the world’s largest known spider.

The Megaloblatta longipennis is the largest known cockroach. I can’t imagine having that hideous thing anywhere near me.. Hmm.. Am I giving producers of Fear Factor more insane ideas?

This, my friend, is a rat. I thought I had enough of what they called the Philippine Rabbit. But this one is found in Australia. It’s called the Capybara and it grows 40 to 55 inches in length, and weighs up to 140 pounds. I’d definitely freak out if I came face to face with this ugly thing.
